1. Using PAIR
You may play public PAIRs as a guest. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this minimum age and agree to these Terms. Some features—including publishing, persistent groups and creator tools—require an account. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping sign-in credentials secure.
2. Fair play and rankings
Official ranked PAIRs allow one qualifying result per player or guest identity. Hints, wrong answers and difficulty downgrades may reduce available points. Refreshing or changing devices must not be used to reset an attempt or improve a ranked result. Replays, where offered, may be marked unranked.
3. Community content
You may only submit puzzles, themes, explanations and other material you have the right to share. Content must not be unlawful, deceptive, abusive, hateful, invasive, infringing or spam. PAIR may review, edit, hide, archive or remove community content and may suspend accounts when reasonably necessary. Accounts used for repeated infringement may be terminated where appropriate.
4. Your licence to PAIR
You retain ownership of your submissions. By submitting or publishing content, you grant PAIR a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, format, moderate and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the service. Editorial suggestions may be adapted before publication, with credit where promised.
5. Copyright notices
PAIR respects intellectual-property rights and provides a process for copyright owners to request review and removal of allegedly infringing material. Instructions for notices and counter-notices are available on our Copyright page. We may remove or restrict disputed material while a claim is reviewed.
6. PAIR content and trademarks
PAIR’s design, software, branding and editorial content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant permission to copy, scrape, resell or misuse them beyond normal personal use of the service.
7. Availability and changes
We may change puzzles, scoring, rankings, categories and features, or suspend parts of the service for maintenance, safety or operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every submitted suggestion will be published.
8. Disclaimers and liability
PAIR is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Puzzle explanations are for entertainment and general information. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAIR is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
9. Termination and contact
You may stop using PAIR at any time. We may restrict access for serious or repeated violations. Questions about these Terms can be submitted through our Contact page.
